A Word From Our Founder
Allow me to commend you for having enough vision to inquire into Christian education. Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where there is no vision, the people perish..." In this case, "the people" are our children. How can we afford not to give them every advantage available to us to assure not only their salvation, but that they can develop into strong men and women with character and determination to reach the next generation with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ?
God has a plan built into His will for the Christian family that, when followed, increases tremendously and practically assures that our children will be saved and live a life that will both strengthen this nation and honor His name. In fact, it's a very simple plan: "Train up a child [at home, at church, at school] in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." — Proverbs 22:6 I realize that Christian education, as offered at Victory Baptist Academy, is not for everyone. But for those families who attend a strong, Bible-preaching church and strive to have a home life centered on the Lord Jesus Christ, I believe we can aid you by giving your children an excellent academic education—plus the discipline, standards, morals, and spiritual help that is available only through Christian education. Again, allow me to congratulate you for having the vision to keep your children from perishing by providing them with a home, church, and school, working together to reach them for our Lord Jesus Christ in every aspect of their life. Sincerely, Jim Tedder, Founder (1941–2020) |
