Kindergarten Program

At Victory Baptist Academy, our kindergarten program is thoughtfully designed to lay a strong foundation in both academic skills and Christian values. Using the Abeka curriculum, students receive structured instruction in core subjects such as math, phonics, reading, science, social studies, and Bible. In math, students learn number recognition, counting to 100, skip counting, basic addition and subtraction, telling time, understanding money, and calendar use. Language Arts emphasizes phonics-based reading, sentence structure, punctuation, and the memorization of thirteen classic poems to build fluency and confidence. Through this approach, students develop a love for learning and are prepared for future academic success.
Our Bible and science programs are rooted in a biblical worldview. Students memorize over 26 Scripture verses and key passages such as Psalm 100 and John 3:16–17. Daily Bible lessons, singing, and prayer help students begin developing a personal walk with God. In science, they explore God's creation by learning about animals, plants, the weather, and the seasons, all while recognizing God's hand in the natural world. In social studies, students learn about American heritage, community helpers, important historical figures, and geography. A special highlight of the year is their memorization of all 50 states and capitals and the names of every U.S. president.
Beyond academics, our kindergarten program nurtures social and spiritual growth in a loving, Christ-centered environment. Students are taught to respect authority, work well with others, and show kindness, patience, and self-control. With the guidance of caring teachers, they begin developing Christian character and habits that will serve them for life. Every aspect of our kindergarten program is carefully planned to help children grow intellectually, spiritually, and socially, giving them the tools they need to honor Christ and thrive in the years ahead.

Mrs. Leah Everheart serves as both the Kindergarten teacher and the Elementary Superintendent at Victory Baptist Academy. With a heart for young children and a passion for Christian education, she brings warmth, structure, and creativity into the classroom every day. As the Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Everheart provides a nurturing and engaging environment where our youngest students begin their academic journey grounded in biblical truth. In her role as Elementary Superintendent, she oversees the daily operations of the elementary department, coordinates field trips and special events, and ensures that all activities align with the school’s mission and values. Her dedication, organization, and love for both children and Christian education make her an invaluable part of the VBA team.

Elementary Education Program

At Victory Baptist Academy, our elementary education program is built upon a solid academic foundation and a steadfast commitment to Christian principles. We use the Abeka curriculum across all elementary grade levels, a time-tested and thoroughly Christian program known for its academic rigor and biblical integration. This curriculum not only emphasizes excellence in core academic subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, science, and history, but it also reinforces traditional values and biblical truth throughout every lesson. Our goal is to provide a well-rounded education that nurtures both the mind and the heart, preparing students for lifelong learning and godly living.
In addition to strong academics, we believe in cultivating creativity and enriching the student experience through the fine arts. Students in grades 1–2 enjoy weekly art classes, where they explore color, design, and personal expression through age-appropriate projects. Students in grades 3–4 receive structured music instruction, which introduces them to rhythm, melody, and musical appreciation, while also offering opportunities to participate in performances that build confidence and teamwork. These classes not only develop artistic talents but also encourage students to recognize and celebrate the gifts God has given them.
At the heart of our elementary program is a faculty made up of loving, qualified, and spiritually minded educators who genuinely care for each child. Our teachers view their role as a ministry, striving not only to educate but to disciple students, model Christlike behavior, and guide them toward a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We also recognize the vital role parents play in a child’s success, and we are committed to maintaining strong communication and collaboration between home and school. By working closely with families, we create a nurturing environment where children can thrive academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
At Victory Baptist Academy, elementary education is more than just learning facts—it is a foundation for life, built upon the truth of God’s Word and designed to prepare each student for the path God has set before them.

Athletic Program

At Victory Baptist Academy, we believe that athletics provide a valuable opportunity to develop Christian character, school spirit, and teamwork in a structured and competitive environment. Our athletic program is designed to challenge students physically while reinforcing biblical principles such as discipline, integrity, humility, and perseverance.
We proudly offer a range of athletic opportunities for both boys and girls, beginning with our “Junior Patriot” basketball and cheerleading program. Open to students in 2nd through 5th grade, this program introduces young athletes to the fundamentals of the game while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and school pride. Junior Patriots gain experience in competition while having fun and building friendships that carry into their upper school years.

For our older students, Victory Baptist Academy fields competitive boys’ and girls’ basketball teams. Our Junior Varsity Boys Basketball team is open to students in 10th grade and under, providing a place for young athletes to sharpen their skills and prepare for higher levels of competition. The Varsity Boys Basketball team includes students through 12th grade and competes with intensity and Christlike sportsmanship throughout the season.
On the girls’ side, our Varsity Girls Basketball team has become a standout program, highlighted by an incredible victory in the Single A State Championship this past season. The team’s hard work, unity, and dedication have made them a source of great pride and a testimony of what young women can achieve both on and off the court when they commit their efforts to the Lord.

In addition to our basketball programs, Victory Baptist Academy also fields a competitive Air Rifle Team that participates in national-level competitions. This unique program develops focus, precision, and patience—qualities that are essential in marksmanship and valuable in life. Our shooters compete with excellence while upholding the highest standards of safety, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Through every practice, game, and tournament, our coaches and staff work to ensure that each student athlete is challenged to grow—not only in skill and strength but also in faith and character. At VBA, athletics are more than just competition—they’re training grounds for leadership, self-control, and Christlike behavior in every area of life.
